Objectives: The Materials specialization trains engineers capable of meeting the technological challenges posed by the design and use of materials in all major industrial sectors: aerospace, automotive, nuclear energy and oil, plastics, chemicals, metallurgy, glass and ceramics, construction, microelectronics, etc.
They develop solid expertise in the different classes of materials (metals, polymers, ceramics, composites, nanomaterials) as well as their properties, applications, and processing methods. The curriculum covers both manufacturing processes (bulk, thin films, recycling processes) and advanced characterization and analysis techniques.
Thanks to this versatile and innovation-driven approach, Polytech Marseille's Materials engineers are able to adapt or design custom materials, addressing the challenges of performance, sustainability, and ecological transition.
