Course Details

Objectives: An essential training cycle for mastering defense issues and taking on high responsibilities in the industrial defense sector.

Result of a cooperation between Sciences Po Bordeaux and the Defense and Aerospace Chair of the Bordeaux University Foundation created in January 2015.

This Chair relies on a solid partnership with the major industries in the sector, Dassault Aviation, Thalès, Safran, Arianegroup and the CEA, and conducts multidisciplinary training, research and knowledge dissemination actions.

Intended for: This training is intended for high-potential executives selected by major industries in the defense and aerospace sector.

Admission requirements: The CESDA is subject to specific access procedures.

Acquired skills during the training : The CESDA increases knowledge of the defense sector and
improves expertise in:
• analysis of international security phenomena (globalization and security, defense policies, military strategies, etc.);
• understanding of strategic responses (national, EU and NATO) and their translation into military effects (RETEX and testimonies on operational commitments);
• study of the impact of the global economy on the ASD industry (economic models of the defense sector, economics of innovation and R&D, territorial factors, etc.).
