Course Details

Objectives: Open to engineers or holders of a master's degree who already have several years of experience in the industry, particularly in the automotive industry, the Specialized Master's "Powertrains" provides an overview of the entire powertrain. Taught in French, in partnership with IFP Training, this program offers two options to choose from.

"Hybrid and electric" option
This option is intended to train high-level specialists capable of:

design, manufacture and test an electric machine, power electronics, electric drive control and a battery pack, in other words, a complete electric drive system;
sizing and comparing the main architectures of hybrid vehicles on the market through modeling and simulation;
understand what the impacts of hybridization will be on the design of internal combustion engines.
"Thermal and hybrid" option
This option is intended to train high-level specialists capable of:

design and develop new technologies applied to alternative automobile engines and their electrification/hybridization, in order to make them less energy-intensive while remaining compliant with legislative requirements in terms of pollution;
dialogue effectively with specialists from other disciplines, providing engine knowledge to electronics and automation engineers, and conversely knowledge of automation and control equipment to engine manufacturers.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Duration and terms: 12 months of lessons, about one week per month (i.e. 360 hours in the form of lessons, tutorials, practical work and visits);
4 months of internship in the partner company, internship which will give rise to a dissertation and a defense.
