Objectives: The training analyzes the global issues of geolocation and the main current obstacles to its development, obstacles particularly linked to the environments in which geolocation seeks to establish itself. It details approaches and analyzes their advantages. Practical work indoors and outdoors allows you to understand where the difficulties lie.

Differentiate between current, mature positioning solutions and more prospective approaches, the potential of which we will discuss
Compare their performances and main limitations
Analyze their implementation on concrete cases
Map typical applications, such as those used in transportation or location-based services (LBS)
Explain the latest satellite navigation systems (GNSS) and their contributions to GPS in order to better understand the work, both industrial and academic, carried out today to overcome the difficulties encountered by these systems
