Course Details

Objectives: Holders of the BUT Mechanical and Production Engineering are generalists in the mechanical industries whatever the sector of activity, capable of ensuring the marketing of a new product through the first three stages of its life cycle: design to define the product, industrialization to develop manufacturing and assembly processes, and finally industrial organization to organize production lines. Holders of a BUT GMP work as professional experts or local managers. For these two functions, they will have to implement resolution and improvement initiatives in the field of GMP by collaborating with the necessary stakeholders.

Three courses are offered in Limoges, from the 2nd year onwards:
- Innovation for Industry
- Industrial Process Management
- Digital Simulation and Virtual Reality

Degree Level (EU) : 6 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Targeted careers : In addition to the design, industrialization and industrial organization professions, the accessible professions are:
- Innovation for industry: R&D pre-project technician, designer assistant, industrial property assistant, technology watch assistant.
- Industrial process management: project manager, team manager, production manager (island, line, workshop, factory), leader of a quality department.
- Digital simulation and virtual reality: R&D assistant, digital designer-modeler, process simulation technician (machining, automation, etc.), production systems simulation assistant.
