Objectives: A new specialization is now available on the COURSERA platform: "Fundamentals of flight mechanics", taught in English by Eric Poquillon, Principal Flight Test Engineer and currently professor of flight dynamics at ISAE SUPAERO.

How do planes take off? How do they fly? How do pilots maintain control? And how high can planes fly? Get answers to all these questions and more with this specialization that explores the fundamentals of flight mechanics. You'll learn how the laws of physics apply to airplanes and discover important concepts in aviation, including lift, drag, and propulsion.

Get a practical understanding of the mechanics of flight. Apply it to critically reviewing a flight accident report, establishing a flight test program, or developing a preliminary design for an aircraft.
