Master 2 Chimie et Sciences des Matériaux, Parcours Matériaux Innovants pour la Santé le Transport et l'Energie (MISTE)

Course Details

Objectives: The Innovative Materials for Health, Transport and Energy course (MISTE) of the "Master in Chemistry and Materials Science" Mention offers a complete training in the field of Materials Sciences, consisting of fundamental scientific knowledge, professional skills as well as as transversal skills promoting professional integration. Its objective is to train specialists in materials for industry and academic research. Thus, the students will have acquired the mastery of the design, the realization, the implementation and the optimized choice of materials for various applications. These skills translate into know-how in chemistry and physico-chemistry of multi-materials; in methods of characterization, at various levels of scale, of the structure and of the physical and chemical properties. and mechanics of materials. Implementation of materials, eco-design and life cycle are innovative skills that students s can acquire in this master.

The MISTE course also aims to train high-level scientists by providing them with first-rate skills and know-how, from researchers and teacher-researchers in the research laboratories of the University of Lyon. A significant part of the training is provided in regional, national or international academic research or industrial R&D laboratories. In addition to scientific and technological skills, students will also have acquired transversal skills in project management, management, communication and English.

Intended for: M1 science students in materials, chemistry, physics, engineering sciences or equivalent level

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements: M1 materials, chemistry, physics, engineering sciences or equivalent level

Acquired skills during the training : * Define a research project in an international context.
* Develop an implementation and realization strategy.
* Offer innovative solutions, particularly in the search for alternative materials.
* Plan, monitor and control R&D activities.
* Analyze and criticize the results of an R&D study.
* Disseminate, communicate the results by mastering the various communication tools (reports, conferences, articles, posters ...)
