Course Details

Objectives: This master program forms students for an engineering career in industry or research opportunity to pursue a PhD. Student will acquire deep skills in theoretical and numerical methods applied to fluid mechanics.

The 2nd year offers 3 specializations:
Modeling and Simulation in Hydrodynamics (MSH) - This training aims to give students the theoretical and numerical tools necessary to study and understand the flows of simple or complex incompressible fluids. It allows the continuation of a thesis or a professional environment in a wide range of opportunities: health, transport, oil industry, environmental risk, etc.
Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics (AA) - This training aims to provide students with theoretical and numerical tools related to aerodynamics, aero-acoustics and fluid-structure interactions. It allows a thesis or professional pursuit, mainly in the aeronautics, aerospace or land transport industries.
Fluid Mechanics (FM) - This training is provided in English. It deals with certain current problems in fluid mechanics, in particular instabilities, turbulence and multiphase flows, in academic or industrial situations.

Intended for: students in last year of engineering schools or Master level I

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements: Equivalent level Master I "fluid mechanics"

Targeted careers : After obtaining the Master's degree, the student can prepare for a doctorate in university laboratories or in research centers, public or private. She or he can also integrate professionally into industrial groups. The main sectors of activity are aeronautics, aerospace, automobile and rail land transport, petroleum, nuclear, civil and biomedical engineering, the environmental sector (pollution, flooding, etc.)

Partnerships with national organisations: Hydrodynamics laboratory (LadHyX)
