Course Details

Objectives: Acquire the basics in remote sensing, be it on the nature of the signal studied, its interactions with its environment and thematic exploitation in order to discover the themes linked to specific wavelengths (eg temperature of the seas, the differences between plant species or the presence of certain gases) • Take charge of the methodological tools for image processing and classification based on the Orphéo Tools Box (a free suite of functionalities developed by CNES

Intended for: Anyone required to manipulate aerial and spatial images and wishing to take charge of semi-automated information extraction, in particular in the areas of forestry and land use.

Prerequisites: None, bases in Qgis are a plus.

Acquired skills during the training : Acquire basic notions in remote sensing.
