Copernicus Master in Digital Earth

Course Details

Objectives: Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) Programme
The two year full-time integrated programme aims at qualifying individuals to lead initiatives, projects and institutions translating Copernicus data (remote sensing and in-situ) into information for management decisions within a broader Digital Earth vision.

Study Earth Observation and Geoinformatics in the first academic year. Two Specialization Tracks offer outstanding candidates a pathway towards excellence in GeoData Science as well as GeoVisualization and Geocommunication in the second year of studies. The Geographic Information Science / Systems (GIS) Master of Science programme is offered as double degree in English language.

Admission requirements: General Eligibility Criteria
(1) ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
Applicants in their final year of a Bachelor’s degree may apply when candidates will have completed the undergraduate degree (bachelor’s or equivalent) prior to July and a copy of the official degree certificate can be sent by July 30 at the latest.

(3) COMPLETED APPLICATION
Only applicants who will complete the online application form and submit all required documents will be eligible for consideration.

(4) Erasmus+ SCHOLARSHIP REGULATIONS

Duration and terms: The first academic year is completed at the University of Salzburg, the specialization track at the University of South Brittany or Palacky University Olomouc in year 2 is leading to a master’s thesis in line with the respective track and co-supervised by University of Salzburg and this partner university.

UBS: Specialization Track – GeoData Science - year 2, semesters 3 and 4

Palacky Univ: Specialization Track – Geovisualization & Geocommunication - year 2, semesters 3 and 4
