Course Details

Objectives: The objective of the master's degree is to train students capable of designing and implementing computer tools to integrate, structure and visualize data in a complete computer system, ranging from Hardware to Software via embedded.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Prerequisites:
• Students engaged in a master's degree course in geomatics,
including the Geomatics mention co-accredited by
Gustave Eiffel University and ENSG, of which it is one of
course;
• Students with a scientific master's degree (IT,
physics, etc.) or students who have completed two years of
training in engineering school and wishing to specialize in
computer science related to geomatics;
• Students with a master's degree in geography as well as
training in land use planning
(town planning, architecture, etc.), with solid skills
in computer science and wishing to specialize in
development methods related to geomatics;
• Free auditors, doctoral students or researchers already
doctors, outside Paris-Est University, French or
foreigners, can be accepted on file when nature
of their research shows that following this training
would constitute added value.

Acquired skills during the training :
At the end of the training, students will be able to:
• propose a solution to respond to an IT problem
after analysis of the need and definition of technical choices;
• implement this solution taking into account many
aspects (AGILE project management, continuous integration, components, etc.).
The holder of this specialty is able to participate in projects
research, to carry out technological developments
in the field of digital geographic information,
represent data in 3D, and manage issues
scaling up (Big Data, Cloud Computing, architectures
and distributed calculations, parallelization, etc.).

Targeted careers : The graduates have a variety of jobs:
- Study / software / research engineer;
- Developer;
- GIS consultant, Geomatics project manager,
spatial data administrator, GIS project manager;
- Researcher, teacher-researcher (after a thesis).
