Aviation Systems Engineering and Management B.Eng.

Course Details

Objectives: four thematic specialisations. Together with experienced and renowned partner companies, we will then train you to become a commercial aircraft pilot, air traffic safety engineer, airport operations engineer or maintenance engineer, depending on what you want.

In the specialisation "Production and Maintenance (ILST-HI)", the focus is on imparting the knowledge required for the design, production, maintenance and repair of an aircraft. In addition to the aviation-oriented engineering subjects, this also includes business management modules.
The specialisation "Operations (ILST-B)" is aimed at pilots or future pilots who would like to obtain an academic degree in addition to their pilot's licence.
Note: You must have already completed your ATPL training before choosing the specialisation at the end of the fourth semester.
However, it is planned to integrate the ATPL training into the degree programme in the future. Enrolment in the degree programme can therefore initially take place, but the possibility of choosing the specialisation "Operations (ILST-B)" only exists if – as written above – either the successful completion of the ATPL training can be proven, or the corresponding modules can be offered by HSB until the end of the fourth semester. Otherwise, the assignment is made to the ILST-HI specialisation. Further information on this can be obtained from the head of the programme.
