Course Details

Objectives: The practical programme trains engineers who are especially qualified for the geometrical realisation and supervision of construction projects, development and continuous updating of digital maps, plans and 3D models, such as the well known navigation systems and interactive maps. There are further important fields of activity in land management for urban planning, agriculture and conservation and in quality assurance in the industry e.g. automotive sector. All activities are closely linked with the management and analysis of space oriented data.

Degree Level (EU) : 6 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Admission requirements: * General university entrance qualification, subject related university entrance qualification, University of Applied Sciences entrance qualification or equivalent foreign educational achievement
* Enjoyment in dealing with modern computer technology and high tech measuring devices
* Interest in natural sciences and technical subjects
* Tendency towards interdisciplinary working in teams
* Enjoyment of project related work: from concept creation to consultation, data acquisition, evaluation right up to presentation
* Desire for a job which is not only carried out at a desk

Duration and terms: 7 semesters
