Course Details

Objectives: The Modeling and Simulation in Structures and Coupled Systems Mechanics 2nd year Master’s is a research-based training program, both practical and theoretical, teaching students about advanced techniques in Modeling and Simulation of Structures and Complex Systems Mechanics.

Degree Level (EU) : 7 - (EQC level or equivalent)

Targeted careers : The opportunities after a thesis in the field are numerous, the socio-economic environment defined by the keywords characterizing this Master being very demanding both engineers and teacher-researchers. This master also benefits from the strong industrial relations that characterize this field of research and development. It provides access to careers in academia, major public and private research laboratories and high-tech industries (aeronautics, space, energy, automotive and transportation, advanced engineering) and in the fast-growing field Of digital engineering.

The training is supported by several companies (AIRBUS, ASTRIUM, SAFRAN, EDF, CEA, Renault, PSA Peugeot Citroën, AREVA, software company) offering internships and some providing specialization courses.

Duration and terms: 2 semesters

Notes: This specialization leads to both immediate employability as doctoral studies. All fields of technology of aeronautics and space sector are involved, from design and optimization of aerospace launch vehicle trajectory control of satellites, to the aerodynamic design of the UAVs or modeling and simulation of turbulent combustion in combustion chambers of jet engines. The opportunities are facilitated by the numerous contacts of the Master in the industrial field with SNECMA Moteurs, Big propulsion (SAFRAN Group), Dassault, EADS Astrium, Airbus, Eurocopter, MBDA, ST.
