Objectives: The Remote Sensing, geoInformation and Visualization master's degree program at the University of Potsdam offers a diverse array of opportunities for specialization in the design of custom-made plans for study. The course targets post-graduate students holding degrees or similar (usually Bachelor) in Geography, Geoecology, Geosciences, Geographical Information Science, Geodesy, Cartography, Regional Science, Computer Science or related subjects.

The Masters in Geoinformation and Visualization is interdisciplinary and incorporates the geoinformation science, computer graphics and computer science departments as well as the Hasso-Plattner-Institute for IT Systems Engineering at the University of Potsdam. Moreover, the course involves collaborating internationally-renowned research and development institutes in the region.
