Course Details

Objectives: The LM in Design & Engineering aims to train professionals that integrate the design culture together with technical and engineering skills. These professionals are able to design and develop the industrial product both in its expressive values and materials and in the technical and operational implications for the management of its production processes.

Students are hence trained to:
_ Develop a complete project, from product concept to production schemes through working drawings
_Select materials, processing technologies and manage their life-cycle (with particular emphasis on sustainability)
_Acquire and apply design methodologies in virtual environments
_Evaluate and manage the impact of the technological aspects of production systems on the final project

The Master of Science in Design & Engineering, at the end of the training program aims to train professionals specialized in three main areas:
_Industrial Design, Process and Manufacturing
_Materials, Technology and Life Cycle
_Representation and prototyping
